When she was young, New Zealand actress Michelle Ang performed ballet with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. She got her start in the motion picture business when she was in her teens, singing and dancing on the children's variety program "Young Entertainers." From there, she began to get acting roles, starting in 1999 with an appearance on the supernatural family anthology program "A Twist in the Tale," as well as a regular role as the spiritual figure Tai-San in the popular teenager sci-fi series "The Tribe." She played the character for three seasons until 2002, and in 2001 took on another recurring role in two episodes of the cult hit "Xena: Warrior Princess," which starred Lucy Lawless. When "The Tribe" ended in 2002, she took on her best known role in the long-running Australian soap "Neighbours," playing Lori Lee from 2002 to 2004--with a brief break during 2003 to finish her university degree. In total, she played the character in 83 episodes. Another popular television role came to her in 2005, when she joined the cast of the crime comedy "Outrageous Fortune" for two seasons. Her first film appearance was a starring role in the romantic comedy "Futile Attraction," playing a woman starring in a reality TV show about her dating life.
