Sullivan's Crossing has officially been renewed for a fourth season.

Among the returning cast are Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, and Scott Patterson.

The series returns for season 4 in 2026.

We've seen shows like Breaking Bad and Schitt's Creek debut on one network, then later explode in popularity once they hit streaming (usually Netflix).

The same phenomenon is now happening with Sullivan's Crossing (2023–present), which built a devoted following on CTV and The CW before basking in the streamer's spotlight.

Since arriving on Netflix in July 2025, the show has camped out on the Top 10 chart, introducing a whole new audience to the scenic charm, romantic tension, and small-town drama of Timberlake.

Based on the book series by Robyn Carr, Sullivan's Crossing follows Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan), a brilliant Boston neurosurgeon whose career is upended by legal trouble.

In search of clarity (or at least a break), Maggie retreats to her hometown and reconnects with her estranged father, Harry "Sully" Sullivan (Scott Patterson), who runs the titular rustic campground.

As Maggie adjusts to her life off the grid, she develops a slow spark with California "Cal" Jones (Chad Michael Murray), a quiet handyman. The pair has endured a lot throughout the show, and by season 3, new challenges emerge — one that sets the stage for a serious fallout in season 4.

Good news, Sullivan's Crossing fans — the soapy drama isn't over yet. CTV renewed the series for season 4 in June 2025, and The CW followed suit a month later.

CW President Brad Schwartz told Deadline bringing the show back was an "easy" decision because Sullivan's Crossing is one of the network's top three shows, both in total viewers and in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

A few weeks before the season 4 renewal announcement, Kohan celebrated the series' success with an Instagram post, captioned, "Two seasons dropping on Netflix, third season Canadian premiere last week, US next week and now a billboard at Yonge and Dundas Square… life is surreal and I just feel so so so lucky."

She continued, "What an absolute dream. Thank you to everyone who has been watching our show and sending your love. I feel it big time."

The season 3 finale of Sullivan's Crossing wraps up with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that promises major drama ahead.

After losing his beloved diner in season 2, Rob (Reid Price) proudly unveils his brand-new, revamped eatery. The entire town turns out to celebrate, including Maggie and Cal.

As the two leave the festivities, Maggie finally puts an end to the uncertainty surrounding her future. Rather than choosing between her career and life in Timberlake, she's found a way to have both by opening her own medical practice right in town.

Just as things seem to be falling into place, Maggie and Cal are interrupted by Liam Davies (Marcus Rosner), the so-called "summer fling" Maggie had downplayed. When she questions his unexpected appearance, Liam responds, "Is that any way to greet your husband?"

A completely stunned Cal turns to Maggie for an explanation, but she's just left speechless. The episode ends there, setting the stage for a high-stakes season 4.

Meanwhile, other characters find resolution and new beginnings. Edna (Andrea Menard), who battled a brain tumor throughout the season, undergoes a successful operation performed by Maggie and makes a full recovery. She's last seen happily reunited with her husband, Frank (Tom Jackson).

As for Sully, he finds love with writer Helen Culver (Kate Vernon), and by the finale, he announces plans to join her on a long trip to Ireland. With Sully stepping back, the future of Sullivan's Crossing now rests in the hands of his daughter and Cal.

While plot details for Sullivan's Crossing season 4 remain under wraps, one thing is certain: the revelation about Maggie's surprise "husband," Liam, is bound to shake things up, especially for her relationship with Cal. That shocking cliffhanger is likely to be a major focus as the new season unfolds.

In a July 2025 interview with Collider, Roth hinted at what's ahead. "There's never a dull moment at Sullivan's Crossing," she said. "A romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters… we're going to have a pretty big shoe drop at the end of the season that we'll get to see play out in season 4."

Viewers can also expect continued storylines around Edna and Frank (hopefully free of further health scares) as well as a possible glimpse into Sully's new life in Ireland with Helen.

The cast of season 4 hasn't been confirmed, but audiences can bet on seeing familiar faces — like Kohan, Murray, Jackson, Menard, and Patterson — back in the fold. Vernon is also likely to return along with Rosner, especially since he is the "pretty big shoe drop" that Roth teased before.

Ahead of the season 3 finale, The CW announced that Sullivan's Crossing season 4 will premiere in 2026. The new season will consist of 10 episodes.
