Hobart Lee “Hobe” Nason, 84, of Fremont, passed away September 14, 2025, at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont, Ohio. He was born August 9, 1941, in Fremont to Hobart Garrett and Pearl (Kent) Nason. Hobe was a construction worker for Labors Local 480 for many years before his retirement. On April 1, 1966, he married Felipa Maria Zuniga in Fremont, and they celebrated 40 years of marriage before her passing on January 15, 2007.

Hobe was a simple man who enjoyed being outdoors, especially in the woods. He was known by friends and family for his unique and fun character, which shined the most over coffee while shooting the breeze.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Doug (Kelly) Nason of Fremont, Marc (Josh) Nason of Mt. Blanchard, OH; grandchild, Ashlee Nason of Bellevue, OH; his nieces and nephews and special friend, Connie Barnes. In addition to his parents and his wife, Felipa Maria Nason, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jessie Frymire, Tessie Huff and George Nason.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025, from at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 907 W. State Street, Suite A, Fremont, OH, 43420.
