If your Max app doesn't automatically update to HBO Max, go to the app store on your device, search for HBO Max (or Max), and choose the download or update option.

The HBO Max name change isn’t related to the price of our subscription plans:

Did my Max account, profiles, or settings change?

Nope! Your profile and settings stay the same. You have the same app experience you've come to know and love.

Why do I have two HBO Max apps?

If you never deleted the original purple HBO Max app, you'll have two apps. The black HBO Max app is the updated experience. You can delete the original purple HBO Max app.
