R1 - the key part of that is a civil lawsuit - not a criminal one because there wasn't enough evidence to bring a criminal case. If you can't prove rape, from a rape kit, police report, text/conversations with friends after the incident to prove you were assaulted - then it becomes a he said/she said situation. So you have to question the motives of that woman - she wanted $300,000 but wasn't motivated enough to bring forth evidence for a criminal case?
