I was driving home from HS soccer practice around 6pm. Once I turned from Horn Rd onto Country Bluff, I noticed what looked like 6-8 lights in the sky, all rotating together near the middle school (think merry-go-round, not spinning individually ) about 100 feet in the sky and about 80 feet end to end. There was low cloud cover that day, and they looked as if spotlights we're rotating and shining from below, on the low cloud cover, but there were no beams to seen. In other words, just the "spotlight" hitting the clouds, but with no source beam. I thought it was a truck-bed rental spotlight for a nightclub or event, but as I drove down Country Bluff, I noticed the lights keeping pace with my car to my left for a few minutes till I got home. I knew this would be very difficult as there are homes all throughout the neighborhood, with no straight drive for a spotlight truck to drive parallel with me. I parked my car in the driveway, ran inside to get as many family members as I could to witness what I had seen. By the time my mom, brother in law, and niece made it outside, the lights were maybe 75 feet away, hovering directly over the cul-de-sac, only a 3 houses down in plain view. The lights remained there, rotating both clockwise and counterclockwise...it would slow down, change rotation direction, and speed up again, slow down again, change rotation, speed up, so on and so forth. This was before camera phones were very commonplace, so I ran inside my home to find a camera, but it was gone by the time I came out again. The entire event lasted maybe 10-15 minutes. (责任编辑:) |
