Claire August 15th 2025 Marty is such a great performer! My family and I have seen him countless times and every single time, he always looks like he’s having the best time up there and involves the crowd so much. It’s always such a great time at his concerts! Can’t wait for the next! Portsmouth, NH@Prescott Park
Monica May 10th 2025 This was AMAZING!! I had never been to the Belly Up before and I’m still an awning over what a fantastic music venue it is. Moving past that, I have seen Martin Sexton before and know how fantastic he is. This show certainly held up and in fact was the best show I’ve seen of his to date. He opened up playing the Abby Road record with fun personal stories of his journey with each song. After a brief intermission, he came back and in his stylistic, personal and incredibly creative way, entertained thoroughly. The sounds and precision with which he sings and plays his single guitar is magical. If you get a chance to go see him, do it! Solana Beach, CA@Belly Up
Jerod December 2nd 2024 I’ve seen Martin nearly 20 times. I follow him and love his music and his approach to his art. I don’t feel this is his best work. What’s worse is the low key adaptation of the Beatles carried over to his originally set. The energy was low and interrupted the happy vibe Martin traditionally brings. I’ll continue to follow him and see go at every opportunity. But i prob won’t see another Abby Road session, Martin is my favorite artist ever. Please just do what you do! Brownfield, ME@Stone Mountain Arts Center
Monica February 4th 2024 If you love raw talent, a feel good performer and an amazing range of musical ingenuity, make sure to see Martin Sexton! This show was everything! Inspiring, touching, excellent musicianship, fun, friendly, warm hearted, inclusive all in a one man show. I’ll see you there! Hermosa Beach, CA@Saint Rocke
Judith December 4th 2023 Martin Sexton is an incredibly talented performer. He engages the audience with his soulful stories and music. He has a beautiful voice and performs a wide range of songs with lots of fun surprises embedded in his performance. Ridgefield, CT@The Ridgefield Playhouse
Karen October 27th 2023 Not sure why it won’t let me leave five full stars. This show was amazing! So glad I went. He is really an amazing performer. I wish he played My Maria but maybe I should have yelled out my request like everyone else did. Good times! Mill Valley, CA@Sweetwater Music Hall
Blake October 23rd 2023 I've seen Martin in places ranging from the beautiful Ogden Theatre in Denver, to a run-down roadhouse in Bozeman, Montana. He always brings quality musicianship, great stories, and a beautiful show, no matter the size of the crowd. We were an intimate crowd at the Pub Station, but Martin was a class act! Billings, MT@Pub Station
Dean October 23rd 2023 I've been listening, appreciating and admiring Martin Sexton's talent for over 20 years. His vocal skills are unmatched and genuine connection to the audience makes the experience even better. Great show and great venue for music. Bozeman, MT@The Elm
Frank October 16th 2023 Venue and sound and audience was great. Martin of course was as usual his phenomenal self. His vocal range, guitar expertise and whistling skills were on full display. Plus he(and us) had a really good time! I cannot recommend a solo artist better than Martin! Madison, WI@The Bur Oak
Dayna Jean May 15th 2023 I was worried Martin was dealing with an aftermath of a cold as his voice seemed off..he still delivered...because he is epic. KT was on fire as well. Looking forward to next time Though..being honest..I did not dig the Varsity venue. I have seen Martin all over Twin Cities in 20 years..this venue did not get the Martin vibe at all and being put through 2 metal detectors with police and security everywhere was not expected. I get the safety factor..but..yeah..not a fav. Minneapolis, MN@Varsity Theater
Joelle December 5th 2022 We have been traveling to see Martin Sexton for the last 20+ years. This show was great. We chose the venue for its smaller crowd and more intimate setting. We were so happy with both the venue and artist. The 1 hr 30 min drive was well worth it!!! Red Bank, NJ@Count Basie Center for the Arts
Jon December 3rd 2022 Quintessential Martin! Always a great show! If you like his music you have to see him live! The supporting sounds that he creates with his voice and guitar are truly amazing! You’d swear there were multiple players on stage with him from a drummer to a horn section Love how he hits those highs and lows! What a fabulous range ! Already have my tickets to see him in Asheville. Maybe I can get him to play Boom Sh Boom and 13 Step Boogie for my wife’s birthday! Red Bank, NJ@Count Basie Center for the Arts
November 18th 2022 As always, Martin gave his die-hard fans what we crave...Martin on guitar, ukulele and all the other sounds and vocalizations he is known for, including lots of yodeling. The newly refurbished and recently opened Lobo Theatre on Central in Nob Hill has a cozy, classy, Great-Gatsby feel to it. Two bars and food service make it a fun place to hang out before the show. Martin came out to the bar/lobby area to talk to his fans. What a treat! The event was held in a restored movie theatre, with original theater seats numbering about 200. All around great place to see a show, and Martin delivered, with his classics and some new tunes. Albuquerque, NM@The Historic Lobo Theater
Eric November 7th 2022 Another great show ! Great sound at this location. Martin is one of the best independent, solo singer-songwriter and guitar players on the circuit. A must see! Only downside was a very drunk woman who talked constantly and sang almost in competition with Martin. He tried all the tricks to get her attention and quiet down, but she was clueless. Spilled at least twice. Can’t handle your liquor? Do go out in public! Tacoma, WA@ALMA
June 27th 2022 First time I saw Martin was 1997 on the UP of Michigan. All of these years and countless shows later, we’re both a little older and grayer, but the man still rocks! He’s an incredible musician and phenomenal showman. But even more importantly, especially in these troubled times, he brings a giant smile to everyone’s face. Lots of fan love to Marty, my favorite Road Warrior ❤️ Ogunquit, ME@Jonathan's Ogunquit
Marci January 5th 2019 Absolutely stellar performance. Towne Crier is always an intimate and acoustically beautiful venue, and Sexton shined here. He himself is an instrument, resonant with spirit as well as sound. Every part of me truly enjoyed this...and I gotta have more! Beacon, NY@Town Crier
Nelson January 25th 2017 Martin never disappoints, truly one of America's greatest troubadours. He's not merely performing his music, it's more like his music is performing him. Well worth the 2 hour drive home in borderline whiteout conditions, already looking forward to his next visit to my area. Thank you for an inspiring night of music. Omaha, NE@Slowdown
Kimberly January 11th 2017 Martin Sexton is always adding to see live. this was my 4th time seeing him, and each was in a different state.. crazy how it's worked out that he'll have a show in places I happen to be in at the time. Albuquerque, NM@South Broadway Cultural Center
Kristen November 4th 2016 Martin was GREAT as always, but the crowd lacked energy and sat the entire show. I'm not a fan of paying to go see an artist and sitting the entire time and it's surprising to see how many people could care less. People were sitting eating popcorn... this isn't the movie theater people! Portland, OR@Aladdin Theater
Jean September 13th 2015 Martin Sexton is a fantastic musician, and The Sheldon was a wonderful, intimate venue in which to enjoy him! It was a lovely night! The Brothers McCann did a great warm up set, and joined Martin at the end of his set bringing everyone to their feet in a standing ovation! I hope The Sheldon brings Martin back again next year!
