Streaming might be all the rage, but the Dallas Cowboys are still all-in on CDs – CeeDee Lamb, that is.

The star receiver suffered a high-ankle sprain during the team's Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears and will now get an extended stay on the sidelines. It's undoubtedly a huge loss for the Cowboys, who now have to right the ship without their best player.

Dallas does have the benefit of George Pickens this time around, which wasn't the case in 2024.

Regardless, all eyes will be on Lamb's eventual return to game action. Lamb initially told reporters after Week 3 that he believed he could play in Week 4 – something that is no longer the case.

The Cowboys haven't been quick to share details on their injured star and his timetable to return, but here's a look at what we know and when No. 88 could get back on the field.

Lamb is expected to be sidelined for at least two games, which would keep him out until Week 6.

The Cowboys haven't provided much clarity on the situation in the aftermath. Team owner Jerry Jones confirmed to All City DLLS' Clarence Hill Jr. on Monday that the team expects to be without Lamb for a month. He added that placing the receiver on injured reserve (IR) is a discussion the team will have.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the team isn't expected to place Lamb on IR. That decision would give him a chance to return earlier than the mandated four-game absence that an IR stint carries.

Lamb was officially ruled out of the Cowboys' Week 3 game after suffering an ankle injury during the first quarter.

He initially tried to return to the game at the start of the second quarter, but exited after one play. The receiver didn't look comfortable on the play and was promptly ruled out of the game.

Pickens figures to be Dak Prescott's top weapon, while Tolbert slides into Lamb's role.

After being primarily known for his play on special teams, Turpin has carved out a role in this Dallas offense. His impact should only grow due to necessity, but the team will hope it doesn't have to be that way for an extended period.
