Rabbi Philip Scheim

Rabbi Philip Scheim is Immediate Past President of Masorti Olami and Past President of the International Rabbinical Assembly. He has served on the Committee of Jewish Law and Standards of the Conservative Movement, on numerous committees of the Rabbinical Assembly and charitable organizations in Canada and Israel. He was co-editor of Megillat HaShoah), a Holocaust liturgy produced by the Rabbinical Assembly and Schechter Institute of Israel. He has served for many years as an officer of MERCAZ Olami, a member of the Va’ad HaPoel of the WZO, the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency, and a delegate to World Zionist Congress gatherings for over two decades. Rabbi Philip Scheim was designated Rabbi Emeritus of Beth David Congregation in Toronto Canada in August 2021, after having completed forty years of service as spiritual leader of the congregation.
