Yamaha’s Jet Drive four strokes, can boldly go where no propped outboard would dare. Shallows. Rocky-bottom rivers. Shoals. White-water rapids. They’d all prove treacherous for a propeller-driven outboard, but a jet drive is all over it. Prop-free, you can “off-road” without worrying about breaking a prop on rocks and other underwater obstructions. So, while you may be giving up the prop, you’re gaining a whole lot of freedom, with powerful, fuel efficient Yamaha Jet Drives available in 150, 115, 90, 60 and 40 horsepower. Yamaha's 2.7-liter F150 Jet Drive four stroke produces 105hp at the pump. It features a DOHC, 16-valve design with four valves per cylinder and long tube intake tracks. This produces ample power for navigating shallow, rocky water. KEY FEATURES Incredible Maneuverability: With no gearcase or propeller extending below the hull, a jet drive allows you to maneuver around or pass over obstructions that would limit the travel of a conventional, propped outboard.
Easy Engine Flushing: A Freshwater Flush Device allows you to flush the engine without running it, for added convenience and extended engine life.
Reliability and Durability: Combined with our proprietary alloy (YDC-30), Yamaha's exclusive Phaze Five™ anti-corrosive paint system provides a tough, five-layer barrier against corrosion. This protection is standard on all Yamaha Jet Drive four stroke outboards.
