Had August 29 (second to last day in August) off and decided I would get out and chase the Union Pacific (a large USA railroad) around Los Angeles (a city in the state of California, southern portion, hugs the coastline). 

Okay, enough with that fun... anyway, I haven't fanned LOW20, El Segundo Local in some time. The power is left out in downtown LA at night and is always an absolute mess, tagged from wheels to fans like a tattoo man at a carnival. By absolute pure luck, they had just been assigned a pair of SD70Ms on this day that had not been in the South Bay pool yet, and were "clean," (clean being a relative word, only describing a lack of additional and defiling paint). I managed to catch them three times, first on the east side of the abandoned Hawthorne Mall (in Hawthorne California), second just east of Space X (still Hawthorne, but following their picking up some more cars), and then finally in Los Angeles itself, just north of Nickerson Gardens, at Compton Avenue, near the Watts station. Last spot can be dicey/dangerous, so if you are looking to try that shot, make sure you knew where the train is before you go hang out there. Head on a swivel, in and out quickly, you should be fine.
