徐特立，1877年生于湖南长沙县一个贫苦农民家庭，从小就体味到农民所受的残酷剥削。9 岁时，父兄因愤于不识字受欺压，凑钱让他读私塾。他读了六年书，又因无钱辍学在家，曾跟随一个和尚学习禅宗。后来他在家劳动，又教私塾。1905年因清政府废科考办新学，长沙办起师范学校，他考入该校读速成班，毕业后当高小教员，又应聘长沙周南女校。 (责任编辑：) |
